About

Welcome, my name is Maria Helena Pereira, but I go by Marilena. I joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 2006 when I got baptized. Originally from the Cape Verde Islands, located off the West Coast of Africa, I speak Cape Verdean creole, a dialect of Portuguese. English is my third language, and I also speak some Spanish. Most of my initial years were spent in Massachusetts where I raised my children. All my children are now grown.

Through my years in the church, I have joyfully embraced the health message and continue to learn and discover more about the wonderful things our Lord and Savior desires for us. The more I learn and embrace from the health message, the more my spiritual growth has prospered.

Maria Pereira

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 1:2 KJV

In 2019, I moved from Brockton, Massachusetts to Seale, Alabama to join the Uchee Pines Health Institute community. I have truly benefited as my understanding of the Gospel Medical Missionary work has become clearer. The wonderful people I have met here have taught me so much. Through my years here at Uchee Pines, I have held several roles such as kitchen cook, housekeeping manager, and farm helper.

The Lord has faithfully led me through many experiences to refine and polish my character that today I can be a light for him. The Gospel Medical Missionary work has become a central focus of mine to help equip others and to help relieve the suffering in this world. I seek to be God’s hands and feet while I am here on this earth.

The DryLand Health ministry and business began as a way for me to help bring the necessary tools to Gospel Medical Missionaries all around us and to provide simple and healthy products for home and personal use. I hope that you will be blessed by our products and that you will share them with others.

Love,

Marilena Pereira
